In a milestone in the race to develop solar technology, Huasun New Energy today announced a double achievement in tandem solar cells (perovskite on silicon heterojunction cells).

The company achieved 34.02% efficiency at the laboratory level (a small 1 cm² cell) and 29.01% efficiency at the industrial level (a large 210mm cell), representing a quantum leap in the solar energy field.

As I mentioned in a previous post, achieving large solar cells or panels while maintaining the same efficiency is the biggest challenge facing solar cell developers.
